We sampled the Ducati Multistrada along with the Buell XB12R Firebolt and Ducati SS1000 DS for our next issue.  Check out the dyno chart:

And the Ducati Multistrada page:

Then vote for which category you think the Multistrada fits in.

I'd call it a Sport-Touring bike.  When I get out of this wheelchair and IF I get enuff money out a this ordeal, I'm gonna' buy one!

When it comes to ridin' a motorcycle, I've been called "Dangerous"

I'll take that as a compliment

Well it seems like sport tourer is a favorite here, which I think is interesting because Ducati has the ST2 and ST4 in that category.

That being the case, what would you compare the Multistrada with in a test?

I kind a think the Multistrada is in a class by it's self.  I think it will hold it's own in the real world against pure sport bikes.  The "Adventure" tourers can't compete with it on pavement and the big Sport-tourers can't compete in the twisties or around town.

Hey!  How 'bout a comparo with the 'stada against the top bikes in each catagory?

The "Multi" isn't the best lookin' bike out there, yet I think functionally it's lookin' good!

It is definatley "class busting". I agree that you should put it head to head with the best of each class.

Ducati Multistrada Versus:

GSXR1000 [SuperSport)
SV1000S [Bikini]
Triumph Speed Triple [Hooligan]
etc...

Bring on the test...
